Volunteer at NORDLEK

Information for volunteers at NORDLEK — Become a volunteer too!

For a large festival to run smoothly, many good volunteers are needed, and NORDLEK is no exception.

As a volunteer at NORDLEK, you can get a day pass or festival pass, free school accommodation, free food at the school or the volunteer café as compensation. All volunteers receive t-shirts that show that you are part of the organizing team.

Before or during the vote, everyone will receive training for their tasks.

Work tasks

Be a representative of the festival and have the main responsibility for the event.

Collaborate with ticketing and doorman on check-in etc.

Provide necessary information to the audience from the stage.

Check that the venue is cleaned and organized after the event.

Welcome and maintain contact with artists/groups so that they have a good stay and get help to follow their program with sound checks, meals and concerts.

Help decorate the festival and event venue.

Answer questions from the audience and participants.

Sale of tickets, t-shirts etc.

Arrange, prepare and serve food and drinks to participants in schools.

Arrange, prepare and serve food and drinks to volunteers who are working.

Rigging and/or unrigging of rooms, schools, etc.

This can be before, during and after the festival.

Schools must have 24-hour security.

Be familiar with the fire instructions at the school and ensure the safety of participants in the event of undesirable incidents.

Ensure that no open flames/candles are used inside.

Remove litter.

One person must be responsible for the key and sign the reviewed fire instructions.

Current schools: Birkenlund, Hisøy and Stinta

Rigging and unrigging of technical equipment.

Ensure that the technical side of the event goes according to plan.

Transport of people and equipment to/from and during the festival. Must have a driver's license.

Be a doorman/ticket inspector.

Host an event.  

Be familiar with the safety instructions for the premises, answer questions and help the public in the event of undesirable incidents.

Cleaning of the venue after the event.

Compensation for volunteers


All volunteers receive:

1 shift = approx. 4 hours of work

If you want to take the sessions as a day pass/festival pass, you will be sent a separate email with a discount code within 3 working days after you have registered as a volunteer. You use this in the registration form so that the day pass/festival pass is registered as NOK 0,- in the form. 0,- in the form.

It is also possible to make a volunteer agreement on behalf of teams and associations directly with the Volunteer Board. Send an email to: olesteffen@nordlek2024.no

NB! We are completely dependent on all volunteers showing up as agreed. If you have picked up a day or festival pass for volunteers, but do not show up at the agreed time, you will receive an invoice for the ticket afterwards.
