The last time NORDLEK was held in Norway was in Steinkjer in 2012. Until then, the festivals were often located in capital cities and other large cities. Now the experience is that smaller cities can also be professional organizers, and may have an additional dimension such as spectacular nature and culture, short distances, intimacy or simply an exciting destination.
It is therefore important for the local organizer, the host municipality, the national
organization and the board of NORDLEK to have sufficient finances for a good implementation.
We believe that a minimum of 2,000 participants who are guaranteed to add color and music to the city have a value for the local community. Based on the ripple effect analysis after Steinkjer in 2012, we expect local value creation of around NOK 10-12 million.
We believe that it should therefore be interesting for more people to contribute as a sponsor in one way or another. This could be a financial contribution, facilitation, materials or similar.
The board for NORDLEK 2024 is interested in dialog with relevant sponsors and contributing partners to carry out a spectacular festival in Arendal in 2024.
